ABOUT DITCH

Adam “Ditch” Kurtz brings fresh energy to Tennessee politics—blending his roots as a working musician with a firm belief in affordable, empathetic, and community-first governance. His campaign emphasizes improving the quality of life for all Tennesseans. Ditch will fight for access to education, healthcare, and economic dignity, and challenging the entrenched political establishment in Nashville and beyond.

Known affectionately as “Ditch,” Adam Kurtz has earned a respected place in Nashville’s music scene as a skilled pedal steel and six-string guitarist, collaborating with artists like Joshua Ray Walker, Silverada, JP Harris, Sophie Gault, Sarah Shook, and performing with his own Buck Owens tribute act, Buck N Stuff, among others. He's never shied away from making his opinions known publicly, but was called to action to shake things up in Tennessee, afraid to see another career politician in it for personal gain take the helm. Also his Political Science degree from the University of Rochester finally will get some use.

Originally from the Boston area, Ditch has lived in Music City for over a decade, establishing strong ties within the country and Americana communities.

He positions himself as a candidate “by the people, for the people,” coining the phrase “I’m a people” to underscore his belief that government should work for everyday Tennesseans—not insiders.

His campaign rejects corporate money entirely, emphasizing a grassroots, small-donor-funded model to rebuild integrity in state leadership. After all, Government is supposed to be on our side - that’s its whole point - so it’s time we got a Governor who agrees.
