ABOUT DITCH
Adam “Ditch” Kurtz brings fresh energy to Tennessee politics—blending his roots as a working musician with a firm belief in affordable, empathetic, and community-first governance. His campaign emphasizes listening to the people, fighting for access to education, healthcare, and economic dignity, and challenging the entrenched political establishment in Nashville and beyond.
Known affectionately as “Ditch,” Adam Kurtz has earned a respected place in Nashville’s music scene as a skilled pedal steel and six-string guitarist, collaborating with artists like Joshua Ray Walker, Silverada, JP Harris, Sophie Gault, Sarah Shook, and performing with his own Buck Owens tribute act, Buck N Stuff, among others.
Originally from Boston, Kurtz has lived in Music City for over a decade, establishing strong ties within the country and Americana communities.
Frustrated by a mainstream political system disconnected from everyday people, Kurtz felt compelled to act. Though not a career politician, his political science degree and passion for public service drive his campaign ethos.
He positions himself as a candidate “by the people, for the people,” coining the phrase “I’m a people” to underscore his belief that government should work for everyday Tennesseans—not insiders.
His campaign rejects corporate money entirely, emphasizing a grassroots, small-donor-funded model to rebuild integrity in state leadership.
